Trader Joe’s At Pretend City
One of my daughter’s favorite places to go play is Pretend City in Orange County, CA. Have you ever taken your children? If not, you have got to get there ASAP, especially with this rainy weather we have been having. Pretend City Children’s Museum is an indoor space that has numerous themed interactive sections for kids to play, learn, and explore through a pretend city. There is a pretend beach, post office, doctor’s office, garden, house, library, and many, many more. This past week, Pretend City opened its latest interactive exhibit: a miniature Trader Joe’s!
It looks exactly like a Trader Joe’s: the checkout lanes with bells, a sample counter, Trader Joe’s product packaging, Trader Joe’s product displays, bags, grocery carts, even Trader Joe’s employee Hawaiian shirts…but everything is made child-sized! Kids can pretend grocery shop, and get to pick out what they put in their shopping cart until they enter the “checkout line”.
Or, your kids can put on a signature Trader Joe’s Hawaiian shirt, complete with name tag, and ring up their “customers”. My daughter loves to play grocery shop at home, and in this child-sized Trader Joe’s replica, she can take her educational play to the next level!
My daughter always has a blast at Pretend City, and can spend hours there. I think the Trader Joe’s exhibit has quickly become her favorite! You can check out my walk through below:
Pretend City is open seven days a week, and memberships are available. It is located at 29 Hubble, Irvine, CA. Before you come by to see Trader Joe’s at Pretend City, be sure to check out their calendar of events to add on a special activity to your visit!
