I just signed up for my first 10K, and I am beyond excited! I had always wanted to do a 10K, but wanted to wait until I found a run whose theme particularly appealed to me. When browsing Active.com, I came across The Lantern Run. The Lantern Run is a night time run where your journey is filled with lanterns lighting your way! They also do 5Ks and half marathons, and a really unique aspect of The Lantern Run is that they only allow 25 people to register per time slot, so that you don’t have an overly crowded run or experience. The concept reminded me so much of one of my favorite Disney film’s, Tangled, that I thought it would be a magical way to do a 10K. My husband and I are attending The Lantern Run in Los Angeles, and I think it’ll be quite a fun (and unique) date night!
Upcoming Dates and Locations for The Lantern Run:
- Seattle, April 14th
- New York City, April 21st
- Los Angeles, April 28th
- Salt Lake City, May 5th
With a little less than a month away to our 10K Lantern Run date night, we better start putting together some activewear Rapunzel and Flynn Disneybounds, I think! To register for The Lantern Run, visit Active.com and search “Lantern Run” in the city nearest you.
