How Can a Cow Save a Penguin?

This past weekend was Earth Day, and with that I saw lots of amazing posts about caring for our planet. It was quite inspiring! Even though Earth Day may have passed, I am still seeing many people showing their passion for nature, even companies! One company in particular, Stonyfield Organic Yogurt, is showing their love of nature for the whole year!

Stonyfield yogurt is a brand that always has a place at home in my fridge, since it is a yogurt brand that focuses on conservation and sustainability, as well as keeping toxic pesticides out of the environment. And this year, Stonyfield YoKids (their kid-centric line of yogurt) is sponsoring the AZA SAFE (Saving Animals from Extinction) program. AZA SAFE strives to save endangered species, and Stonyfield is proudly contributing funds to the field work on helping save ten endangered species, one of them being the African Penguin.

To help spread awareness to kids and parents about the conservation program, Stonyfield YoKids yogurt will feature the African Penguin on their packaging for the whole year. On the YoKids yogurt with this packaging, there will be an on-pack offer for families to visit any of the 131 participating AZA accredited zoos and aquariums, since when you buy two of these packages you will receive a free kid’s admission with the purchase of an adult ticket.

To kick off this amazing partnership with AZA SAFE and Stonyfield, on World Penguin Day (April 25th), Stonyfield will have a Facebook Live stream of footage of these amazing penguins at the Mystic Aquarium’s Penguin Encounter.

You can help spread awareness to of the conservation efforts of AZA SAFE, by sharing a Facebook video on April 25th, asking your child “Can a cow save a penguin?” Be sure to tag Stonyfield in your video! You can learn more about this partnership by visiting http://azasafe.stonyfield.com/
