Peter Rabbit Helping Launch School Gardens

Sony Picture’s Peter Rabbit is out on digital, and coming to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD May 1st! To celebrate the film’s at-home release, Sony Pictures partnered with Slow Food USA and local schools in NYC and LA to have earth day celebrations and help launch school and community gardens.

Helping Create School Gardens

On April 21st, DIY gardening expert Sara Bendrick led the efforts of East Harlem elementary school’s garden, with an inauguration of a Peter Rabbit Earth Day assembly April 20th. The assembly taught kids how to recycle milk cartons and plastic bottles to use for indoor gardening. Kids were also shown how to plant a garden from scratch in their recycled materials.

In Los Angeles, The Garden School Foundation taught kids about gardening at the 24th Street Elementary School, and taught how to plant carrot seeds. At both events over the Earth Day weekend, Peter Rabbit himself came to say hi to the children while families celebrated earth day together in an impactful, and fun way!
