Disclosure: I am being provided press tickets to attend the Magical Chinese Lantern Festival and review this event, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
From November 21 through January 5th the Magical Chinese Lantern Festival is returning to Los Angeles! The perfect family-friendly event this holiday season is this stunning brand new illuminated light show taking place at the Pomona Fairplex. The festival is inspired by the 2000-year-old tradition art of Chinese lantern making. Each lantern is enhanced with sound effects and LED lights to create vibrant, larger-than-life displays!
You will be able to experience lanterns up to 30 feet high, with one of the highlights being a 100-yard-long ceramic Chinese Dragon! In addition to lanterns, you can also enjoy mythical creature rides for children, food and beverages available for purchase, live Chinese folk music, traditional dance show, and holiday displays including a lantern Santa Claus photo opp!
The festival will be nightly Thursdays through Sundays from November 21-December 15, 2019, and then every night from December 19-January 5th, 2020 (including Holidays!) from 5:30-10pm. Tickets range from $13-$21, and can be purchased here.
