Virtually Celebrate Earth Day with Disney

Recently I created a post of ways to virtually experience Disney history. I had a lot of fun crafting that blog post, and discovered lots of cool things in my research for it. It inspired me to create another post about virtual experiences and other Disney magic to experience at home for Earth day!

There are lots of Earth Day themed DIsney coloring pages and activity pages available, including:

  • Create chalk art! You may have seen on social media that many people are creating Disney chalk art to bring some Disney magic to people on their walks. We created some recently wishing people a Happy Earth Day featuring Wall-E and the Orange Bird! Some Disney movies/characters that would also be good for Earth Day for some inspiration to get you started: Wall-E, A Bug’s Life, Kevin from Up, The Lion King and The Jungle Book.
  • Decorate pots for plants with Disney flair! Disney Family recently shared this DIY for painting Mickey’s on pots for succulents here.
  • Paint rocks as Disney characters: A few years ago, I created this craft idea for painting rocks for your garden as Disney characters. You can see the DIY for Wall-E and Eve rocks here.
  • National Geographic is offering free printable coloring pages online here.
  • National Geographic is also encouraging people to have a “Neighborhood Safari”, where you can do different animal inspired arts and crafts to display on your windows for your neihgborhood to see. You can learn more about it and see their suggested crafts here.
  • A fun craft for your family is painting recycled egg cartons as characters from A Bug’s Life with this DIY tutorial on Disney Family.
