The Perfect Valentine’s – Road Tripping in the 2018 Mazda6 Signature
A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I took a quick Valentine’s roadtrip from Los Angeles to Palo Alto. A good chunk of our trip was spent in the car, and to take us on the journey was a 2018 Mazda6 Signature. Upon first placing our suitcases in the trunk and grabbing coffee at the beginning of our journey, I could tell this was going to be a perfectly luxurious road trip car! The trunk was very roomy, fitting our large suitcase with ease, and room for much much more. The seats were very comfy, with the ability to adjust in height for ultimate comfort (and had seat warmers, perfect for this cold weather we are currently having). We connected our phones to play Spotify from the car, which had perfect and rich sound quality.
We hadn’t done a road trip from Southern to Northern California, and let me tell you it was remarkable to really experience so many different sides of California in just a few short hours. We drove through LA, and on the way up north we drove through farmland, and even snow! Being Californians, we don’t drive through snow too often, but in the 2018 Mazda6 Signature I felt very safe doing so, since the side mirrors let you know if there’s a car near you or in your blindside, making your mind at ease when you’re changing lanes in weather with low visibility.
Past the snow, we saw gorgeous lakes, more farmland, and then drove through beautiful Palo Alto. After spending the night there, the next day we drove across the Golden Gate Bridge, our first time doing that together! It was such a breathtaking experience, making this trip one I will never forget. Also near the Golden Gate Bridge, we drove 30 minutes away to see the Pixar Animation Studios entrance. Being the Disney fan that I am, I had to take a picture out front!
It was then time to drive back home, through the rain and snow and experience the magic of California driving the Mazda6 Signature. We were super impressed how long our gas lasted in the car, only needing 3.8 gallons of gas per 100 miles of driving. It made driving long distances so easy without having to stop much. Once home, we had a few more days in the car post road trip. At home, I have a narrow parking space, and loved the feature in the car that shows side camera views of your car so you can tell how much room you have on either side of you. Also helpful in Los Angeles is the front camera, so you can tell how much room is in front and back of you when parallel parking!
