My favorite way to help encourage my toddler to eat healthy is by incorporating some Disney magic with healthy foods. My daughter recently watched Sleeping Beauty for the first time, and is now one of her current favorite movies to watch. Our favorite part of the film is when the three fairies, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather are using their wands to create a magical birthday surprise for Briar Rose. I thought it would be great to create a healthy snack pulling inspiration from their wands, and their colors of pink, green, and blue, so I created Sleeping Beauty Fairy Snack Wands!

To make these, you’ll need:

  • 3 wooden skewers
  • Blackberries or blueberries
  • Green grapes
  • Raspberries or strawberries
  • Whole wheat bread
  • Sandwich filling of your choice
  • Star cookie cutter
  1. Make the kind of sandwich you would like on whole wheat bread, then cut your sandwich into a star. Using your fingers, press the ends down around the edges of your sandwich to help keep it together. Set aside.
  2. Place your fruits on the skewers, leaving about two inches at the top for your sandwich (the pointed end should be the end with the leftover space).
  3. Place your sandwich at the top of your “wand”.
