A Review of Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big

Yesterday, I had the amazing opportunity to get to take my 2-year-old daughter to Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big in Ontario, CA. Prior to having my daughter, I had seen some Disney On Ice shows, and had always dreamt of taking my daughter to see it – she loves Mickey and Minnie, and can’t get enough of the Disney Princesses! Since this particular show, Dream Big, has songs and numbers from every Disney Princess movie, my little one was having the time of her life!

The show opens with Mickey and Minnie introducing what Dream Big is all about! Then Tinkerbell comes on stage to help make the magic of visiting all of the princess’ worlds begin!

There is a large Aladdin segment of the show, where you can see many classic songs from the film performed, and see favorite characters like Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie! We then get to see Snow White, her prince, and the Seven Dwarfs!

My daughter particularly loved the “Hi Ho” number, which was filled with laughter and lots of shenanigans from the dwarfs! In a breathtaking number, Lumiere and Belle perform “Be Our Guest.” This number was one of my favorites, since Beauty and the Beast is a beloved film from my childhood, and one of my daughter’s favorite princess movies.

Another huge hit with my daughter was Tangled! Rapunzel and Flynn skated to a dazzling scene to “At Last I See the Light”. As soon as Rapunzel came on dancing to this number, my daughter kept jumping up and down, pointing, and yelling excitedly, “Rapunzel!”

Characters Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen come on to skate to “Down in New Orleans” – which the audience couldn’t help but clap along to! It was such a fun number filled with music and beautiful costumes, which made it to be one of my favorite numbers of the show!

Sleeping Beauty had an amazing number, complete with Prince Philip fighting off a fire breathing dragon. We also got to see the telling of the classic story of Cinderella!

And last but not least, there were performances of many numbers from Frozen! This had to be my daughter’s number one favorite part of the show, particularly loving “First Time in Forever” performed by Anna, and of course Olaf’s “Summer”.
