A Review of Disney On Ice Follow Your Heart

Last night, my daughter and one of her best friends dressed up in their Rapunzel dresses and headed to the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA to see Disney On Ice Presents Follow Your Heart! We got popcorn for them in Disney On Ice buckets, and headed to our seats to enjoy a night of Disney fun!

Follow Your Heart starts off with Riley (from Pixar’s Inside Out) playing a hockey game, where we get an insight into her emotions from Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust, who narrate the show’s transitions into a heartwarming show. The first act had all the Disney princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, Mulan, Tiana, and Merida. They each came on and did a dazzling ice skating performance with their princes.

Particularly stunning was the Beauty and the Beast number, with Lumiere, Cogsworth, Belle, and other enchanted objects performing the show stopping Be Our Guest performance.

Our daughters’ favorite part was seeing Rapunzel and Flynn, who do a breathtaking combination of an ice skating and aerial performance:

For the second act, we visited the ocean to meet Dory and friends, as they took us through the story of Finding Dory. It was pretty epic to see Mr. Ray, kelp forests, and Hank on ice! It was definitely a highlight of the show:

After Finding Dory, the Toy Story gang took to the ice, in a fun western-style dance and song number, which my daughter kept clapping and singing along to. For the finale, Anna came on with Olaf to tell the story of Disney’s Frozen. The Frozen numbers included amazing numbers from favorite songs from the film: First Time in Forever, Love is an Open Door, Summer, and Let it Go. Many of the parts of Frozen had snow falling from the sky, something that made my daughter very excited! I think Let it Go was definitely a crowd favorite, with many of the audience members singing along.

I think Disney On Ice Follow Your Heart is my favorite Disney On Ice show I’ve ever seen! It will definitely be a night our girls will remember. Disney On Ice Follow Your Heart will continue to tour through Southern California, you can buy tickets here, and find a discount code for 20% by visiting this post.
