A Plant-Based Mickey Shaped Sheperd’s Pie is Coming to Disneyland’s Festival of Holidays
Disney Parks Blog today just released their full Foodie Guide for Festival of Holidays, returning this year to Disney California Adventure Park. Each year, the booths used at the Food & Wine Festival are given a holiday theme with their decor and food. Last year, there was the debut of a plant-based booth, and it seems each year they plant-based options get better and better.
Us who eat plant-based foods were floored when Lunar New Year at Disneyland Resort debuted Mickey-shaped tempeh. Well the Mickey-shaped plant-based trend is continuing with something mind-blowing for Disneyland Resort’s Festival of Holidays:
Mickey shaped Sheperd’s Pie! The dish is called Sheperd’s Upside-Down Pie at the Grandma’s Recipes Marketplace booth in Disney California Adventure Park. The other item listed as plant-based on the Disney Parks Blog’s Foodie Guide is the Chile Relleno, a poblano pepper stuffed with vegetable stew, topped with roasted tomato sauce, tofu sour cream, and served with Spanish rice & black beans. I’ll keep you updated on what else there might be once the festival opens on November 8, 2019!
