Making Character Waffles at Home! The Magic of Disney Eats
You may have seen a few months back I posted about shopDisney’s Disney Eats collection when it first hit shelves! If you’re not familiar with Disney Eats, it’s a collection of Disney kitchen items, which include aprons, baking utensils, plates, waffle makers, and more! Each season, shopDisney comes out with new Disney Eats items, so there’s always something fun and new! We still use our Mickey aprons and rubber spatulas from the first wave of Disney Eats items. Most recently, we had a magical breakfast at home making our own character waffles using the Mickey and Friends waffle iron from the new wave of products in January!
While they don’t have this waffle iron right now (you never know, it might come back in stock!) they have other character waffle irons available on shopDisney. When I showed I got the Mickey and Friends waffle maker, I had a lot of people ask me how well the characters are imprinted on the waffle. I wanted to do a blog post showing our results from the Mickey and Friends Waffle maker, so you can get a feel for how shopDisney’s waffle makers work!
There’s lights on the maker that show you when its done preheating and ready to go. Then spray with non-stick spray, and pour in your batter! You can set it to light versus dark waffles, and the light will turn on to indicate when your waffles are finished, so there’s no guesswork! For this waffle maker in particular, it makes four character imprints at once: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Pluto.
You can see it imprinted the characters super clearly! I was beyond impressed! And they were very easy to get out of the waffle maker. Once you turn it off, it cools down very quickly making working around it safe and easy. It was so nice to be able to make our own Disney character waffles at home! I also set up a little “toppings bar” of blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries for us to decorate!
And there you have it! A fun and simple way to make your own Disney character waffles at home!
