If you have ever been to my house, you will know I am a clean freak! Having a clean, organized, and tidy home helps me feel calm and ready to entertain guests for the holidays! With having a toddler though, it is essential to find ways to save time and clean efficiently. Now that the holidays are approaching, we are having so much fun baking, cooking, crafting, decorating…but with all those fun things also comes more clean-up than ever!

On a recent trip to Target to get materials and ingredients for Thanksgiving weekend, I ventured into the cleaning aisles to help find some tools that could help me with all the post-holiday clean-up. I picked up a couple items to test out a holiday cleaning hack idea I had: an 8 inch Scotch-Brite™ 50% Stickier Lint Roller and the 4.8 inch Scotch-Brite™ 50% Stickier Lint Roller.

Around the holidays, when you have glitter, pine needles, or crumbs on the carpet or on your clothing, there’s not really a great way to pick all of that up quickly. I thought the Scotch-Brite 50% Stickier lint rollers would do the trick!

Later that day, I baked my favorite Christmas cookies with my daughter. Since the dough for them is quite sticky, I always have to use lots of flour to roll them out.

In previous years, I would have to pull out vacuum attachments, or other bulky items. This year, I pulled out my Scotch-Brite 50% stickier lint roller, and it did the trick!

The lint roller was super efficient in cleaning up after baking, and I loved that it wasn’t time consuming — allowing me to enjoy the day with my family, rather than spending tons of time cleaning up.

Another fun activity we did over the long weekend was a cookie cutter craft. You lay a cookie cutter on a piece of paper. Then put liquid glue or rub a glue stick on the paper around the cookie cutter. Then you pour glitter on the paper, and it easily makes cute works of art, that the littles enjoy making and hanging on the fridge!

It is so much fun, but does make quite a mess on clothes! I used the 8 inch Scotch-Brite 50% Stickier lint roller to clean this up, since glitter gets EVERYWHERE! I loved how quickly it helped pick the glitter off of my clothes, considering glitter is one of the toughest things to clean.

It got all over my jeans, and I wanted to be able to clean it all up, rather than get more glitter in my washing machine or carpet.

You can see what an amazing difference it made after just two swipes!
