Glamping at Ventura Ranch KOA
I took my first every glamping trip this past weekend! I knew I was in for a treat (I mean come on, it’s called GLAMping for a reason), but the Go RVing cabin and Ventura Ranch KOA grounds exceeded my expectations. The Go RVing cabins at Ventura Ranch KOA were just built this past year in Santa Paula, CA.
The Cabins
The cabins are positioned on a hill, so you can see lemon groves, trees, and see and hear the creek below. Plus, the views at sunset and sunrise are stunning! On the outside, you have a firepit, picnic table, deck with BBQ, and an upper deck so you can sit, relax with some wine and enjoy the breathtaking Ventura Ranch KOA. Enter the cabin, and you’ll see a living room with pull out couch, dining table, and kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, stovetop, and refrigerator.
There is also a lovely bathroom with shower and master bedroom (the bed and pillows were so incredibly comfortable). If you are sleeping a lot of people in your cabin, there is also an upstairs loft area with extra mattresses. If you have kids with you this would be so fun for them to have a little fort to play in or slumber party! The cabin is heated, and also has wifi. For me, I love being able to go on quiet getaways to catch up on TV shows I watch, and to do some writing with a cup of coffee by my side. With the heat and the wifi and the incredible views (and comfy bed) this was the perfect place to relax, rest and catch up on some work (if you’re looking to do that).
Ventura Ranch
At Ventura Ranch KOA, you can enjoy lovely hikes, including hikes along the creek. There is also a playground, and a swimming pool during the warmer season. Throughout the day, they offer various recreational activities, such as panning for gold, and creating tie dye t-shirts. Throughout the day, you can also see a lot of peacocks on the grounds! I can’t wait to go back with my daughter sometime, I just know she would love to do the activities and would love seeing all the nature. And if you’re looking to travel with your pets, it is dog friendly too! Ventura Ranch KOA is also just three miles from the main parts of Santa Paula, so if you want to go by the grocery store for food its super easy to do so.
