New this year to Holiday Time at Disneyland Resort is the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park. Much like the Food & Wine Festival, where you can visit different food and beverage stands and have a taste of gourmet cuisine, this is a collection of 14 food stands that are holiday themed! The food and beverage stands each represent a different region of holiday cuisine, so you can taste a wide variety of different foods! And the best part? Each of the stands have a unique twist of holiday cheer!
Below, you can check out the menu for each stand, gift kiosks along the Festival of Holidays route, and my top picks for healthy and/or vegetarian options at the festival.
There are vegetarian and regular options at Mosaic Delights, although the vegetarian option is fried. The non-vegetarian option is roasted lamb with masala, basmati rice, and poached raisins. If you’re also wanting a healthier dessert and non-alcoholic beverage, this is the stand for that! They serve baklava, and an iced Moroccan mint tea.
At the Heritage Cottage, the cuisine is inspired by Germany. No vegetarian savory dishes here – but I do love their reasonably priced Riesling!
The Southern Home Holidays stand has a bit of everything, savory meat dish, savory vegetarian dish, and a dessert!
Mistletoe Morsels is a great food stand pick for healthy options! The Shrimp Cocktail Martini would be my top pick for healthiest non-vegetarian dish at the Festival of Holidays!
Next up: Winter Sliderland! The turkey slider is such a great idea to incorporate a bit of Thanksgiving into the Festival of Holidays. And it’s a pretty good healthy eating pick of mine, too!
Fiesta en Familia is a great stand to find healthy choices for vegetarian and non-vegetarian! For vegetarians, there is the Green Chile Pozole, and for non-vegetarians there is the Fresh Fish Ceviche. The Guava Agua Fresca is also a light, refreshing choice for a beverage.
The foodie in me loves the Making Spirits Bright & Nosh and Nibbles stand! The Sweet spiced Noodle Kugel is to die for!
Brews & Bites is primarily alcohol flights, but they do have an incredible Holiday Cheese Ball! It comes with cheese, crackers, pretzels, and grapes. This is one of my favorite holiday vegetarian picks.
Spice Salutations was my favorite booth! It had a healthy vegetarian item; the chickpea fritters! I wish they sold these at Disney all the time, because they were to die for! The chicken and potato curry is also another fairly healthy option at the Festival of Holidays.
The Chicken Cilantro Tamale sounds delicious for non-vegetarians, and my first pick for healthy option at this stand!
No vegetarian options here, but for non-vegetarians the Smoked Duck & Vegetable Spring Roll, as well as the Chilled Papaya Shrimp Salad are healthy options!
Last but not least, two amazing dessert stands! Eating healthy is all about balance, especially around the holidays! So make sure to enjoy a treat here and there 🙂 At Treats for Santa, you can buy a cookie decorating kit, or a la carte desserts. The a la carte selections come in cute wrapping, so they make for great gifts or stocking stuffers, as well.
Yuletide Yummies is exactly that…YUMMY! I had the Mocha Yule Log cake, and let’s just say I will miss it terribly once the Festival of Holidays is over!
There is also Festival of Holidays branded merchandise available at a kiosk near Boudin Sourdough Factory, so you can take home a goodie from your visit!
We also met some characters we were surprised to see along the festival’s route!
In addition to food around the world, there are also kiosks with different gift offerings from small shops, and gifts that represent various cultures.
