Disneyland Outfits – Minnie Mouse Inspired Polka Dots Themed to Disneyland Lands

National Polka Dot day is January 22nd. And of course with the first gal of Disney (Minnie Mouse) having polka dots as her signature look, in the Disney community you’ll always see fun polka dot looks each January. I always love creating fun looks themed for Minnie Mouse and National Polka Dot Day! When I was brainstorming what I wanted to do for the occasion this year, I thought I would create some Disneyland outfits. I created Minnie Mouse x National Polka Dot Day looks inspired by the five original Disneyland lands, plus a bonus Toontown look. I hope you enjoy, and will maybe find inspiration for your own Disneyland outfits. All photos taken by Katie Pritchard.
Main Street, USA
I did a black and white look, since my favorite part of Main Street, USA is the Main Street Cinema, where they play black and white Mickey Mouse cartoons. I topped it off with the new ruby read Minnie ears, since there’s lots of pops of red on Main Street (the train, the firestation).

Fantasyland
I used a retired dress from Unique Vintage that is baby blue with pink and purple polka dots. These colors reminded me of the color scheme of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Jingles (the special horse on King Arthur Carousel dedicated to Julie Andrews during Disneyland’s 50th anniversary). Since Sleeping Beauty Castle is primarily pale pink, I added the shopDisney millennial pink ears and a pink petticoat to emphasize these colors.

Adventureland
This look ended up being one of my favorites! You hardly ever see green polka dots, so I thought this was a super fun combination. I paired it with coral colored Minnie ears complete with plumerias that I got in Aulani.

Frontierland
For this land, I wanted to go with a country picnic-esque type outfit. I had a pair of blue polka dot Minnie ears, inspired by Minnie’s outfit pre her iconic red and white polka dots. It had a daisy on it, which inspired the cute country chic look I put together. Plus the blue popped really well with the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad backdrop!

Tomorrowland
This look was inspired by Minnie Mouse’s 1980’s Tomorrowland look, that was primarily silver with a rainbow on the front and rainbow bow. I had a lot of fun putting this one together, and let me tell you it was hard finding rainbow polka dots! But the photos made it worth it. And the shoes I’m wearing in all the pictures are believe it or not…Crocs! They’re Croc wedges I got from Amazon, and wear them most of the time to Disneyland since it gives me hight and the look of wearing a heel, but they’re comfortable enough to walk around in all day.

Toontown
As a bonus look in addition to the original five Disneyland lands, I put together a Toontown inspired look. With that being the location of Minnie’s house, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to do the most polka dotted look of them all!
