Disclosure: I received these fish extender gift items complimentary, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Disney Cruise Fish Extender Gift Ideas
To go along with my nautical Mickey and Minnie Mouse fish extender DIY, I of course needed to then put together gifts to give to people in my Disney Cruise fish extender group! If you’re unfamiliar with what a fish extender is, it’s a door hanger you hang from the fish outside your stateroom door, with a compartment for each guest. You then find your cruise’s sailing date Facebook group to sign up for a fish extender gift exchange. I wanted to make gift bundles that people of any age or with any dietary restrictions could use and enjoy!

Item #1 – Brother’s All-Natural Freeze-Dried Apples
One of my daughter’s favorite snacks, and one I enjoy on-the-go and when travelling too, is Brother’s All-Natural Freeze-Dried Apples. They come in a wide variety of Disney packaging, so worked perfectly as a healthy non-perishable snack or healthy treat on a Disney Cruise. The ones I brought for the fish extender group had Mickey and the Roadster Racers packaging!
Item #2 – Disney Sun-Staches!
When you sign-up for a fish extender you put what your favorite Disney character is so you can customize your gifts a bit more if you like. Gifting Sun-Staches was a perfect way to do this! Sun-Staches makes character sunglasses, with a huge variety of Disney characters – they are always fun to sport on Disney vacations! I gave a pair of Sun-Staches to each person in my group that coordinated with their favorite character…there were lots of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouses, but there were also some Incredibles, and quite a few Disney Princesses, too! They come in adult and child sizes so it was a great gift for all ages in my group.
Item #3 – Mickey 90th Anniversary Tumblers
For the 3rd gift I gave Zak Designs’ Disney Treasure Tumbler they released for Mickey’s 90th birthday. Inside the tumbler, it has a golden Mickey (perfectly suited for Disney Cruise since there’s a show on the ship called The Golden Mickeys), and on one side says 90 years, and on the other Mickey’s silhouette with the words “True Original”. It was definitely a big hit!
Packaging Up the Gifts!
Now that you have your fish extender gift ideas, it’s now time to start packing them up! I got some Mickey Mouse Ziploc bags from Target. On the area where you can write, I wrote down the gift recipient’s name and stateroom number, and who it was from. Then inside placed a bag of the freeze-dried apples and the recipient’s pair of Sun-Staches. Then for the Zak Designs Disney Treasure Tumbler, I printed off tags from the computer and wrote who the tumblers were from, and tied it around the tumbler with a ribbon. I have to say this batch of gifts was my favorite fish extender gift set yet!
